This Women's Rugby World Cup legacy programme is aimed at increasing participation in girls rugby and there was a strong female presence at the blitz.
The participating girls teams were from Armagh CBS PS, St. Patrick's PS, Saints & Scholars PS, St Malachy's PS and Mount St. Catherine's PS, all of which had no prior rugby experience.
In addition to receiving training sessions in their schools, pupils were also invited on a tour of Kingspan Stadium and The Nevin Spence Centre, provided by Ulster Rugby.
As a result of the initiative, Armagh RFC now has a stand-alone U12 girls' team made up of pupils from the schools.
Carrickfergus RFC and Larne RFC are running similar schemes.
